Old Mac Daddy - luxury trailer park!

Just when you think you've seen it all then WAM... another bit of awesomeness dashes through your space. One such awesome find is the "Old Mac Daddy" luxury trailer park! The concept is brilliant and leaves you thinking dam, why didn't I think of that ha ha ha! This park can be found in the Elgin Valley and has become one of my "I'm so going there" places.

Each trailer was handed over to an artist, designer or creative (all whom are Cape Town locals) to conceptualize. The general public was called in to vote and so the team of creatives was chosen to start on their various trailers. The themes are vast and exquisitely executed. I love the way in which your brain wants to say "but that's so kitch" and then you just LLLOOOOVVVEEEE it anyway. They boast with a designer barn, kid's playroom and restaurant as a communal area.

Old Mac Daddy is the proud owner of a Golden Lourie Award (2011) in the entertainment/sports/leisure catagory (super wow) and I believe they will be the highlight of many a visitors for years to come! Well done, you've made us proud and YOU GO SA!!

On my christmas wish list!

These umbrellas are just oozing AWESOMENESS - seriously santa, bring it on!! Guy de Jean deserves some respect for these. He specializes in designing one of a kind umbrellas! The umbrella on top was done for lingerie brand Chantal Thomass and the one on the bottom, the corset for luxury fashion brand Jean Paul Gaultier. Check out his website: http://www.guydejean.com/

Personal Photography #2

Today I'm uploading some more of my personal photography. The theme for all of these is "art" and the idea behind it is that the approach to the style would from an artistic background. You will see that some may be blurred, on some the main object captured off to the side as apposed to dead center and on all of them I make use of an interesting crop. These are all elements I've used to try and capture a more creative shot and I think it has paid off! Let me know what you think...
